Beshear Points Federal Workers to Portal

File

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear reminds displaced workers about the commonwealth's online portal

As the federal government shutdown approaches two weeks, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has a reminder for displaced federal employees. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Beshear says Team Kentucky’s online portal was created in April to assist federal employees amid widespread layoffs.

It offers a list of resources including career counselors, virtual career fairs, job openings, and links to unemployment benefits.

The Kentucky governor says displaced federal workers can search through open jobs in state government or across the commonwealth.

The online portal can be found here.

Displaced workers can also speak directly with a free career counselor by calling 502-564-8030.

Beshear, a Democratic governor elected twice in a red state, is seen as a likely presidential candidate in 2028.
