Meeting Set For Mid-States Corridor

Officials have chosen a potential route for Tier 2 of the Mid-States Corridor in southern Indiana

Officials have announced a potential route for a new north-south highway in southern Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Indiana Department of Transportation and the Mid-States Corridor project team say Alternatives 2B and 3B will move forward for further study.

The groups say additional alignment and access variations will be considered at several locations.
 
Both alternatives are expressways.

A public information meeting on the project is set for October 22nd at Jasper Middle School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Officials say at the meeting, you can view displays, talk with project team members, and watch a recorded presentation.

It won’t be be a formal public hearing so oral comments won’t be recorded.
 
The official comment period will close November 5th.
