Another closure is coming to the East Lloyd Expressway as part of the Lloyd4U initiative. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
Beginning as soon as Tuesday, officials say crews will close Eagle Crest Boulevard south of the Lloyd for the installation of a box culvert. If the weather cooperates, the work should wrap up by Saturday afternoon.
INDOT says to facilitate access from the south and ease congestion, the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Fuquay Road will be converted into a temporary three-way stop.
Currently drivers on Lincoln have the right of way.
Once the closure is complete, the extra stop signs will be removed.
Meanwhile on the West Lloyd, two-way traffic is now sharing the north side of the Lloyd after construction crews completed the switch for eastbound traffic last week.
Also, crews will stop traffic in both directions while bridge beams are delivered to the work site just east of Rosenberger Avenue on Wednesday.
Drivers can expect 10 to 15-minute stoppages.
Four stoppages are anticipated over the course of two hours.
