Henderson Receives Development Money

KY. Gov. Andy Beshear says state funding will prepare a site in Henderson for economic growth

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is highlighting investment in the commonwealth’s “speed-to-market efforts” -- including a project in Henderson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The legislature approved nearly six-million dollars in state funding for site and building development projects in three counties.

A portion of the money is going to the Henderson County Economic Development Corporation for a due diligence study on 60 acres off the 425 Bypass.

Beshear says completion of the study will help position the property as competitive and ready for future site selection opportunities.

The rest of the funding is going to Carroll and McCracken counties.

The money comes from the Kentucky Product Development Initiative to boost investments in site and building upgrades.

The goal is to attract well-paying jobs and economic growth across the commonwealth.
