Disability Town Hall Set For Tuesday

IN SILC

Local leaders will field questions from disabled residents at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Bob Jones Way in Downtown Evansville

Disabled residents and caregivers are invited to an event in Downtown Evansville Tuesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:

The Indiana Statewide Independent Living Council is inviting community members to a Disability Town Hall.

It’s planned for 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Bob Jones Way.

The council says the free event will feature a Policymaker Q&A with Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry, State Representative Alex Burton, retired Toyota Executive Ted Brown, and Evansville City Council President Ben Trockman.

Attendees can ask questions, share experiences, and engage on issues that matter most to Hoosiers with disabilities.

The event is sponsored by AARP Indiana.
ASL interpreters and CART services will be provided.
