2 Killed in Fiery Crash in Owensboro

Thursday's crash on the U.S. 60 Bypass in Owensboro, KY claimed 2 lives and critically injured another

Two people are dead after a fiery crash in Owensboro. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Daviess County sheriff’s office says it happened at about 4:15 Thursday afternoon on the U.S. 60 Bypass near the Highway 54 overpass.

Two off-duty Whitesville firefighters witnessed the crash and responded immediately.

The sheriff’s office says the driver of an eastbound car lost control, crossed the median, and hit a pickup truck head-on.

The car caught fire.

Both occupants of the car were killed.

The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The names of the deceased and injured have not yet been released.

The crash, investigation, and cleanup closed the road for five hours.
