Habitat for Humanity of Evansville has opened a volunteer center to help coordinate volunteers, provide training, and support families in need of housing

Habitat for Humanity has opened a new Volunteer Center in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Habitat says the new facility at 935 Maxwell Avenue will serve as a hub for community engagement, volunteer coordination, practical training opportunities, and expanded impact in building homes -- and hope -- in the region.

The organization says the new center will enhance Habitat’s ability to mobilize volunteers and strengthen community partnerships, accelerating homebuilding efforts and supporting families in need of affordable housing.

Habitat says the center represents the group’s ongoing commitment to bring people together to build stronger, healthier neighborhoods through service and collaboration.
