A weekend fire damaged a cookie processing plant in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Firefighters responded to the blaze at the former Tri-State Food Bank warehouse at 801 E. Michigan St. Sunday afternoon.
The EFD’s Jessica Costello says the facility now operates as the "Cookie Plug" processing plant.
Firefighters found smoke coming from the two-story concrete block and metal structure.
Initial reports indicated employees tried to extinguish the fire before crews arrived.
Costello says firefighters extinguished the blaze with no injuries.
It’s not clear how much damage the fire caused.
There’s also no word on what sparked the fire.
