An Excessive Heat Warning continues through Wednesday, but some folks are looking ahead to a much cooler time: the Christmas season. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:
The Jacobsville Area Community Corporation says Evansville’s Christmas Parade on North Main St. will be back for another year of holiday celebration, community pride, and festive fun.
The event is set for November 23rd -- the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
The 2025 theme, Parade of Champions, will spotlight the city’s rich sports heritage, honoring local athletes, teams, and sports icons that have inspired generations.
Spectators can expect floats and performances celebrating champions from every corner of the community.
Santa’s Workshop will also return with an earlier start time.
Families are invited to Hope City Church at noon for crafts, treats, games, and free photos with Santa.
The Christmas Parade starts at 2:30, running from Division St. to Garvin Park.
Organizers invite local businesses, schools, and organizations to enter floats, sponsor the parade, or volunteer on Parade Day.
