A one-mile trail connector is now complete in Warrick County, and the trailhead building facilities have been renovated.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (INDNR) along with Warrick Trails celebrated the completion of Nevins Trailhead and Amax Trail on Friday.

It connects Nevins Trailhead located at 5800 Lincoln Avenue in Newburgh, to a continuous eight-mile trail.

It also links Castle High School to Friedman Park, Vann Park, several neighborhoods and Amax Athletic Fields.

This project was funded by READI 2.0 and Indiana Next Level Trails.

The Indiana DNR administered a nearly $500,000 grant. Overall, Warrick has 16 miles of county trails.
