Evansville, Indiana Mayor Stephanie Terry says non-profits can receive up to $35,000 in Forward Together grants

The city of Evansville is accepting applications for a new round of Forward Together grants. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry says nonprofit organizations can apply for up to $35,000 in funding to support programs in one or more of these categories: Home Weatherization, Food Access, Services for the Homeless, and Literacy.

Application materials are available on the City’s website, evansvillegov.org/forwardtogether.

The application deadline is Friday, September 19th.

Grant proposals will be reviewed by a volunteer committee before receiving final approval from the Mayor’s Office.

Mayor Terry created the Forward Together initiative in 2024 to strengthen local nonprofit efforts aligned with the City’s priorities of neighborhood revitalization, public safety, and poverty reduction.

The program is funded by interest earned from American Rescue Plan Act money.
