The Vanderburgh County Health Department will host an immunization clinic for kids before they return to class. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Back-to-School Immunization Clinic is set for Tuesday, July 29th, at the health department at 420 Mulberry St.
The clinic will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for kids ages 18 and younger.
Children are eligible to be seen if they have Medicaid, no insurance, or some private insurance.
Officials say pre-registration is “highly encouraged.” Parents can register their kids at vanderburghhealth.org.
Those who pre-register will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and are eligible for other prizes.
Walk-ins may be seen as time and staffing allows.
All patients are required to bring shot records and insurance information.
Vaccines are due for all students entering kindergarten, 6th grade, and 12th grade.
Those entering other grades may need catch-up vaccinations.
