USI Board Approves $130 Million Budget

The University of Southern Indiana has approved a new operating budget amid state cuts

USI’s Board of Trustees has approved a new budget. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

At its regular meeting on Thursday, the Board of Trustees approved a $130.6 million annual operating budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

The Board also approved miscellaneous fees and reviewed the schedule of student fees and other mandatory fees for 2025-26.

The University announced last month that it was freezing fees.

USI income is derived from two primary sources: tuition and fee revenues and state appropriations.

Also on Thursday, the USI Board approved the disbursement of financial aid awards for the 2025-26 academic year and received an update on current campus construction projects.
