Tyson Foods has announced a major investment in its Henderson County plant. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says Tyson is investing nearly $23-and-half million dollars to expand and modernize the facility in Robards (RAH-birds).
There’s no word of any new jobs at the plant but Beshear says it will support the retention of more than eleven-hundred workers.
Tyson says the project will increase capacity and product diversity, including new equipment and other upgrades.
Work on the expansion is expected to start this year and conclude in spring 2026.
Henderson County Judge-Executive Brad Schneider says the expansion is “truly satisfying because it indicates Tyson leadership has confidence in our community and our region to help meet its needs.”
