Mayor Stephanie Terry says the C.K. Newsome Center at 100 E Walnut is open from 8am-to- 5pm through Friday.
Meanwhile, all Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library locations also are available for people to come in and cool off during library business hours.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory through Friday.
Temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-90’s with the heat index as high as 107.
The weather service urges everyone to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, limit time outdoors, and stay in air conditioning as much as possible.
