16 Non-Profits Share Nearly $200,000

File

The Vanderburgh Community Foundation has distributed grants ranging from $33,000 to $3,500 to Evansville non-profits

Nearly 200-thousand dollars in grants are on the way to local non-profits. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Vanderburgh Community Foundation says 16 local charities will share the funds.

The largest amounts are going to agencies that serve the homeless: ECHO Housing Corporation, Ozanam Family Shelter, and Aurora.

Another top recipient is the Immigrant Welcome and Resource Center to support its case manager services.

Other recipients of Community Good Grants include the Evansville Wartime Museum, the Lampion Center, the Evansville Christian Life Center, HOPE of Evansville, and the Salvation Army.

The community foundation says the grants are made possible thanks to generous donors who contribute year after year.
