USI to Freeze Tuition and Fees

USI

University of Southern Indiana trustees voted to hold the line on tuition fees for the next 2 school years

Tuition fees will hold steady at the University of Southern Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The USI Board of Trustees voted Thursday to maintain its current tuition rate for the next two school years.

The unanimous vote follows a recommendation from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education that public colleges and universities keep their fees flat.

The Commission made the recommendation after Gov. Mike Braun asked higher education to be more efficient with tax dollars.

All mandatory fees at USI will hold steady with student fees per credit hour at just under 300-dollars for in-state residents and about 725-dollars per credit hour for out-of-state students.

Officials say they will use campus housing funds to subsidize some of the school’s costs.
