A house fire on Evansville’s East Side displaced residents and left a firefighter with a minor injury. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Firefighters were dispatched to the 1400 block of Greenfield Road Tuesday night.
The first crew on the scene found flames and smoke coming from the side and rear of the single-story home.
The EFD’s Kim Garrett says all occupants got out of the burning house.
Garrett says the fire progressed to the point of a partial collapse and fire venting through the roof before firefighters extinguished the blaze.
She says one firefighter suffered a minor injury and the Red Cross responded to assist the residents.
The fire is under investigation.
