Residents are invited to voice their questions and concerns about the latest Indiana General Assembly session to Burton directly

The last legislative session which ended April 24 included the approval of a state budget bill featuring a $2 billion cut in spending across state agencies and organizations funded by state dollars.

Burton voted against the bill.

“We can’t afford short-sighted budgeting when the long-term health of our economy depends on the success of our people,” Burton said in an article posted to the Indiana House Democratic Caucus website. “We need a budget that reflects our vision, not just numbers on a spreadsheet. For these reasons, I voted against this bill.”

Residents are encouraged to fill out an online form beforehand with any questions or concerns they would like addressed especially if they can’t attend.

The town hall will be held at the Dream Center next Tuesday the twentieth from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.

Burton, an Evansville native, represents house district seventy-seven in Indiana which is centered around the Bellemeade and Bayard Park area of Evansville.
