File

UE students and faculty will travel to international sites for archeology and anthropology projects

University of Evansville archaeology and anthropology majors will travel near and far this summer to gain hands-on experience. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Two students will work alongside UE faculty members at two excavation and survey projects in Greece.

Other students will participate in projects in Austria, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, and a Mayan (MY-yen) city in Belize.

Students will also take part in a World War II forensic archaeology field school in Germany and an underwater shipwreck survey in Turks and Caicos.

Closer to home, three students will participate in USI's excavations near West Lafayette, and two others will work at archeology field schools in Illinois.

Students will also gain experience through internships in Missouri, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
