Officials have announced what they call a “major step forward” for the Lloyd-4-U project on Evansville’s West Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
INDOT says crews plan to close Tekoppel Avenue under the Lloyd to install new bridge beams for the westbound lanes.
The closure will shut down Tekoppel between Corbierre and Forest avenues tomorrow (Thur).
The closure is expected to be lifted by Friday.
Lane restrictions continue along the Lloyd between Barker Avenue and the Posey County line.
The Lloyd4U initiative includes more than a dozen improvement projects between Posey County and Cross Pointe Blvd.
Work continues on a new displaced left turn signal on the Lloyd near Vann Avenue.
Traffic lights have already been removed at the Lloyd and Vann.
