An Evansville City Council member will lead the Tri-State Food Bank. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Food Bank’s Board of Directors has chosen Zac Heronemus as its new Executive Director.
The non-profit says the board selected Heronemus after an in-depth, four-month search.
He will succeed Glenn Roberts, who announced his retirement in the fall of 2024 after more than ten years of leadership at the food bank.
Aside from his work on the city council, Heronemus has managed non-profit organizations, most recently for more than five years as executive director at the homeless services organization Aurora.
The Evansville-based Tri-State Food Bank is a member of Feeding America’s national network of 200 food banks.
The local agency’s service area includes 33 counties -- nine in southwest Indiana, eight in western Kentucky, and 16 in southern Illinois.
