CenterPoint Energy says it’s closely monitoring weather forecasts and preparing for potential storms on Sunday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Company Vice President Shane Bradford says crews are taking necessary precautions and are focused on responding quickly and safely if outages occur in southwest Indiana.
CenterPoint says it’s following internal weather forecasts, along with reports from the National Weather Service and local weather outlets.
The company says it’s also taking inventory of materials and readying equipment to support system repairs.
CenterPoint says it’s evaluating timing and initial plans for mobilizing crews and resources based on the forecasts.
The company reminds customers that power restoration is prioritized beginning with critical infrastructure, followed by repairs that restore service to the greatest number of customers before addressing individual outages.
