Firefighters have extinguished a blaze in Ft. Branch. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Crews were dispatched to I.M.I. Concrete at U.S. 41 and State Road 168 shortly after 9:00 a.m. Friday.
They found smoke and fire coming from the plant.
Gibson County Dispatch announced an “all call” for all county fire departments to assist.
There were concerns about possible hazardous materials at the plant. No injuries were reported.
The blaze was said to be under control at about 11:00 a.m. The last crew left the scene shortly before noon.
Authorities are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
The blaze and the emergency response snarled traffic in the area for a while.
