New Playground Coming to Fulton Park

File

The Parks Board approved plans for the upgrade

Work will start this spring on upgrading an Evansville park. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The city says new playground equipment will be installed at Fulton Park at Fulton and Franklin, with a funding assist from the Department of Metropolitan Development.

Parks Director Danielle Crook made the announcement and presented the plans to the Park Board Wednesday.

Crook say the park’s old equipment on the south side of the park will be removed and the new playground will be installed in the Northeast corner.

Work is expected to be completed by early June, including the installation of safety surfacing.

Crook says the project, along with the new Activity Zone at Garvin Park, shows the department’s commitment to “take care of the things we have” and provide access to safe parks and recreational opportunities.
