Forecasters say the tornado risk has increased in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
The National Weather Service says its concerns continue to grow as a storm system is expected to bring severe weather to the area late Friday night.
Forecasters have moved the “level 4” threat -- or “moderate risk“ of severe weather -- farther east into Posey and Union counties, while the immediate Evansville area remains at level 3 or “enhanced risk.”
The weather service says overall, the chance of tornadoes has increased.
A line of fast-moving storms is expected to reach the Evansville area late Friday and early Saturday morning.
Forecasters say another round of severe storms is possible on Saturday, mainly in southwest Indiana and western Kentucky.
