USI is hosting the 17th annual event

USI is gearing up for the 17th annual Tri-State Science and Engineering Fair. WNIN’S John Gibson has details:

The event is this Thursday and Friday in the university’s Carter Hall.

Officials say nearly 250 students from across the region will showcase their design projects and scientific research.

The fair welcomes K-thru-12 students from public, private, parochial and homeschool settings within a 75-mile radius of USI.

The exhibits will be judged Thursday evening followed by a public showing from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.

An awards ceremony is set for Monday evening at 6:00.

This year’s fair is sponsored by AstraZeneca and CountryMark.
