A uniform-maker is expanding its facility in Owensboro. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Gov. Andy Beshear says UniFirst Corporation will invest nearly $28 million in its distribution and fulfillment center near Owensboro-Daviess County Airport.
Beshear says UniFirst’s choice to expand in Owensboro is a “testament to our state’s talented workforce and notable resources.”
There’s no word of new jobs connected to the expansion but Beshear says it calls for expanding space, upgrading equipment, and enhancing capabilities to support continued growth and increase capacity.
UniFirst came to Owensboro in the late 1990’s.
The company also operates a facility on N. Green River Road in Vanderburgh County.
