Firefighters rescued a woman from a burning home in western Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Perry Township firefighters responded to the blaze in the 9500 block of New Harmony Road just before 7:00 Sunday morning.
Vanderburgh County Dispatch told firefighters that the caller was trapped in a back bedroom.
Crews quickly located the woman and rescued her through a window.
AMR took her to Deaconess Gateway Hospital with what authorities called non-life threatening injuries.
The Perry Township Fire Department thanked other departments that responded and dispatchers who provided key information to both the individual inside the house and the responding units.
