Henderson firefighters are battling a warehouse fire. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Crews were dispatched to the blaze 1100 block of First Street during the noon hour Wednesday.
Black smoke was rising from the fire and was visible for miles.
As the fire spread, a chief on the scene requested all Henderson firefighters report to duty.
Crews from other Henderson County agencies moved into the city’s fire stations to provide protection.
A chief on the scene also requested tanker trucks from county agencies to help with water supply.
There was word of at least one person needing medical help at the scene due to smoke inhalation.
There’s no word yet on how the blaze started.
