Joseph Snyder, Jr., 62, died despite bystanders pulling him from his burning vehicle

An Evansville man has died after a fiery crash and heroic work from bystanders in Warrick County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

A vehicle driven by 62-year-old Joseph Snyder, Jr. crashed on State Road 68, west of Lynnville, Thursday night.

The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle caught fire before first responders arrived.

Authorities say bystanders freed Snyder from the burning vehicle and an ambulance took him to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was later flown to Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis where he succumbed to his injuries.

One of the bystanders suffered burns on their hands.
