Fire Damages Owensboro Restaurant

File

Sunday night's blaze at the Cadillac closed the restaurant: firefighters saved adjacent motel

A late night fire damaged an Owensboro restaurant. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Owensboro Firefighters were dispatched to the Cadillac Restaurant at 1316 W. 2nd St. at about 11:30 Sunday night.

The first crew reported flames had reached the attic.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about a half-hour and kept it from spreading to an adjacent motel.

Crews remained on scene putting out hot spots until early this (Mon) morning.

No injuries were reported.

Owensboro Battalion Chief Jason Pickrell said the fire apparently started in the kitchen.

There was no word on when the restaurant might reopen.
