The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is reminding parents that Election Day this year is a day off for students. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
When EVSC officials put together this year’s school calendar they decided to hold no classes on November 5th.
A half-dozen local schools are also polling places on Election Day and with a big turnout anticipated, officials decided to cancel classes for safety.
Schools that will host polling on Election Day are AIS, Caze Elementary, Cedar Hall Elementary, Plaza Park International Prep Academy, Glenwood Leadership Academy, and the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center.
Early voting continues in Vanderburgh County at Central, McCullough, North Park, Oaklyn, and Red Bank libraries.
Voting is also available this Saturday at Cedar Hall School on Fulton Avenue and at Northeast Park Baptist Church on Boeke Road.
