The candidates for Vanderburgh County Circuit Court Judge in the November 5th election are both touting their experience. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Ryan Hatfield cites his experience in the courtroom and at the Indiana Statehouse:
"As a sex crimes-homicide deputy prosecutor, an attorney who has tried over 50 jury trials, and as your state representative, fighting for you in Indianapolis to keep you safe and to keep life affordable for you."
Molly Briles notes she’s been serving as a magistrate in Vanderburgh Superior Court for five years:
"In a recent poll of Evansville Bar Association attorney members, I was rated more favorably than my opponent in every single category from legal experience to legal knowledge, judicial temperament, and the ability to be impartial and objective."
Both candidates spoke to WNIN Public Television and their full statements can be found on the Shively and Shoulders program here.
Early voting in Vanderburgh County continues at Central Library in Downtown Evansville, and has now expanded to McCullough, North Park, Oaklyn, and Red Bank libraries.
Early voting will also be available the next two Saturdays at Cedar Hall School on Fulton Avenue and at Northeast Park Baptist Church on Boeke Road.
