Non-profit community organization Leadership Everyone is accepting nominations for the 2025 Servant Leaders awards.

Nominations are open until December 14th, for organizations who make “significant collaborative contributions that improve and transform communities across the Evansville region.”

There are seven nomination categories including Arts and Culture, Community and Neighborhood, Education and Government.

Elizabeth Maurer is Director of Operations at Leaderhsip Everyone.

“It's not about who's making the most decisions. It's about who is doing the right thing, what neighbors are coming together, who is going above and beyond, selflessly to make our community better.”

Past nominations include the Festival of Nations by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) and individuals Roger Khalia and Jack Deig.

This can include individuals, projects, programs and organizations. Maurer said the Evansville area is rich with passionate people and organizations.

“And those organizations work best when they're collaborating, and all neighbors and all businesses are coming to the table and saying, ‘How can we serve the people in our community?’”

Maurer said this is their 30th year and the second time back presenting these awards in person after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nominees and recipients will be honored at the Celebration of Leadership Award Ceremony in March.
