Mayor's Diversity Award Winners Announced

Evansville Vanderburgh Human Relations Commission

The awards dinner is set for Nov. 1 at Old National Events Plaza

This year’s recipients of the Mayor’s Celebration of Diversity Awards have been announced. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The Sadelle Berger Award goes to Dr. Trinisia Brooks.

Another Berger Award is being presented posthumously to Philip Siegel.

The Willie Effie Thomas Development Award goes to Wendy Chinn; the Sue Woodson Community Relations Award will be presented to Misty Hartmire; another Community Relations Award goes to LaToya Johnson; the Leadership Award goes to the Community Action Program of Evansville – or CAPE – and the Workforce Diversity Award will be presented to Deaconess Health System.

The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Human Relations Commission will hold the annual awards dinner Friday, November 1st.

The keynote speaker will be Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II.

The deadline to purchase tickets has been extended until this Friday.
