Evansville Goodwill has opened an outlet store. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The non-profit calls the facility “a first of its kind in our area.”
The store at the Goodwill location at 500 S. Green River Road will sell most items from bins and by the pound.
Goodwill says clothes, shoes, toys, electronics, glassware, and household goods cost $1.99 per pound.
Books are 50 cents, while furniture and large items are priced as marked.
During the opening weekend – Thursday through Saturday -- Goodwill will limit the capacity to 75 customers at a time.
They will be allowed 50 minutes in the outlet store per session.
Goodwill says that will give employees time to switch out bins and open up for the next group.
To accommodate the anticipated crowd, Goodwill says it’s offering additional parking around the store.
