The Pike's Mattress warehouse fire also damaged nearby Benthal Brothers Wholesale building.

The Evansville Fire Department and State Fire Marshal's Office could not pinpoint a cause for the Sept. 14th blaze

Investigators say they could not determine the cause of the fire that destroyed Pike’s Mattress in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

Evansville Fire Department Deputy Chief Kim Garrett says the EFD and the Indiana Fire Marshal’s Office have been “working together” since the September 14th blaze on West Division St.

But after a nearly month-long investigation, the cause has been ruled “undetermined.”

The two-alarm blaze destroyed the three-story brick building and damaged a metal structure next door.

Three firefighters were treated for heat injuries.

Pike’s had just celebrated a reopening of the store days before the fire.
