The Warrick Humane Society is looking for fosters as 25-30 animals arrive from hurricane-ravaged areas

The Warrick Humane Society says it’s taking in more than two dozen animals from the disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Helene. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The society says it has partnered with the Best Friends Animal Society to accept 25-to-30 animals from the devastated region.

Officials say the Warrick Humane Society needs emergency fosters for the current animals in its facility to make space for the incoming evacuees.

Interested persons can fill out a foster application at warrickhumane.org.

The group says it needs as many animals out Wednesday as possible to make room for the evacuated animals coming on Thursday.

The society also asks people to consider donating to the non-profit or adopting.

The group says there’s no better way to help than by giving one of their dogs a forever home.

More: The Warrick Humane Society is open from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
