The Fraternal Order of Police in Evansville has endorsed candidates for judge and coroner. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The FOP endorsed one of its own for Vanderburgh County Coroner.
Bryan Underwood is a 25-year veteran of the Evansville Police Department.
The FOP notes his experience as a patrolman, field training officer, and violent crimes detective.
Underwood has been recognized with numerous awards, including Gold and Silver awards from the Evansville Police Merit Commission.
Underwood is a Republican. He’s opposed by Democrat Keith Mosby Jr.
The FOP has also endorsed Magistrate Molly Briles for Vanderburgh Circuit Court Judge.
Briles has served in Vanderburgh Superior Court since 2019, presiding over civil, criminal, family law, protective order, and mental health commitment cases.
She also serves as a judicial officer for Vanderburgh County’s Adult Treatment Court.
Briles faces Democratic State Representative Ryan Hatfield for the judge’s seat.
