Drivers on the East Lloyd Expressway may encounter 20-minute stops as soon as this (Wed) evening. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Indiana Department of Transportation says road crews will stop eastbound traffic between Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road to remove an overhead sign.
INDOT says the intermittent stoppages are expected to occur between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on or after Wednesday, with each stoppage expected to last 20 minutes.
While the work will be done outside of peak drive times, heavy congestion is still expected during the stoppages and drivers are urged to be alert and watch for signs when approaching Vann Avenue.
It’s part of the years-long Lloyd4U project, which has already removed the traffic lights at the Lloyd and Vann.
The work is also causing lengthy lane restrictions on the West Lloyd.
