A traffic crash has claimed the life of a well-known Evansville athlete. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Clint Keown died in the single-vehicle crash on Illinois 1 in Crawford County on Sunday.
Another passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured.
Keown was a standout athlete at Memorial High School in the 1990’s, played basketball at UE, and later signed a minor league baseball contract with the Cincinnati Reds.
After leaving baseball, he played golf professionally.
Keown was married and had a son and two stepchildren.
Friends and family members have posted remembrances on social media.
