USI says its enrollment continues to rise. WNIN’s John Gibson takes a look at the latest numbers:
The university says it has seen an increase in overall enrollment and first-time freshmen enrollment, as well as record graduate enrollment.
Combined undergraduate, graduate and high school students enrolled in dual credit courses, add up to an overall enrollment of nearly 9,500.
That’s up more than 2% from fall 2023.
USI says the more than 1,300 first-time freshmen marks an increase of 3%.
The university also reports a record number of graduate students for the second year in a row, 1,886.
USI Interim President Steven Bridges says he’s “thrilled” with the numbers, noting an increase in the first-year retention rate and a record on-time, four-year graduation rate.
Students at USI come from almost all Indiana counties, 47 states and 48 countries.
In-state students comprise more than 75% of the student body.
