The search for a new president at USI is shifting into high gear. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The University of Southern Indiana’s Board of Trustees announced members of the Presidential Search Committee on Thursday.

The board also hired the national search firm, Academic Search, to help find the University’s fifth President.

Christina Ryan leads the 20-person committee, which consists of USI officials, professors and a student trustee.

The new president will succeed Steven Bridges who has served as USI’s Interim President since the departure of Ron Rochon in July.

The presidential search is expected to be completed by next summer.

In other action on Thursday, the USI Board approved a 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Budget to be presented to the state.

The University is seeking funding for two capital projects, including $43 million for phase two of its academic renovation and $39 million for phase three of the renovation.

The Board also approved housing and meal plan rates for the 2025-26 academic year.
