The advisory continues until at least Friday

Officials have again extended a boil water advisory on Evansville’s North Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility issued the advisory last weekend following work in the 3400 block of Stringtown Road.

Officials have since extended the advisory twice while waiting for tests to show the water is safe to drink.

Customers affected by the boil advisory include Stringtown School and more than 800 other North Side properties.

You can see the advisory map at ewsu.com

Customers in the advisory area are urged to boil tap water for at least five minutes before using it for cooking, drinking, washing dishes or brushing teeth.

You can also use bottled water instead.

The new extension of the boil advisory will last until at least Friday morning.
