The site in Robards is the largest for new industry in Kentucky

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has announced a new regional “build ready” location in Henderson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

Beshear says the site is in the Four-Star Regional Industrial Park in Robards.

He says it offers the largest graded Build Ready-certified building pad in the commonwealth at more than 1.1 million square feet.

The project is supported by Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster counties.

The site was also approved last year for $1.4 million in state funding to complete a grading plan at the site.

On the governor’s website, Beshear says one of the biggest draws to Kentucky for growing companies is the commonwealth’s commitment to site development.

The site in Robards includes more than 100 acres zoned for heavy industrial use, gas, sewer and gas lines, and electric service provided by Kenergy.

Henderson County Judge Executive Brad Schneider calls it a huge step forward in seeking the next company to call Northwest Kentucky its new home.
