Most – but not all – CenterPoint customers who lost electricity in this week’s storms have their electricity back. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The utility company says crews reduced the number of customers without power to less than 600 by Friday morning.
CenterPoint had hoped to have all customers restored by Thursday night.
Storms with heavy rain Thursday afternoon may have hampered the restoration effort.
The storms dropped temperatures and the National Weather Service dropped the Excessive Heat Warning.
Chances for more thunderstorms continue Friday with temperatures expected to stay below 90 degrees.
