Summer of Recovery
Evansville is one of five cities hosting the tour this summer.
The free event is Thursday, July 18, at 5:30 PM at Wesselman Park.
According to the organization, these are family-friendly “pro-social” events with live music speakers, a DJ, and opportunities to connect with local recovery-related resources.
Funding for the Summer of Recovery Tour is by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
These events are designed to “celebrate recovery,” inspire hope, encourage recovery culture and help lay the groundwork for new sustainable recovery events in key regions of the state.
Other host cities are Indianapolis, Bloomington, Valparaiso and Anderson.
