Chicken Fat Spills, Closes Lanes in Henderson

File

An accident involving a tanker truck spilled the byproduct onto the Henderson Strip Thursday night

The northbound lanes of the Henderson Strip have reopened after a tanker truck crashed and spilled chicken fat on the roadway. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said last night’s incident forced authorities to shut down both northbound lanes of U.S. 41 in Henderson.

Officials feared the clean-up of the chicken byproduct would take up to five hours but the transportation cabinet said the lanes reopened just after 10 p.m.

There was no word of any injuries in the accident.

It happened on 41 near Marywood Drive.
