The USI Board of Trustees has approved a new budget and named a chairperson to lead the search for a new university president. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The Board chose Trustee Christina Ryan to Chair the USI Presidential Search.
The process to select USI’s fifth president is set to begin this fall.
The move comes after current president Dr. Ron Rochon announced in May that he’s accepted the president’s position at California State-Fullerton.
Rochon officially steps down at USI July 22nd.
The board also approved a 130 million-dollar operating budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The trustees also approved miscellaneous fees and reviewed the schedule of student fees and other mandatory fees for 2024-25.
The Board also approved financial aid awards for the upcoming academic year and received an update on current campus construction projects.
